Videos ACB boats represent a true revolution in safety. In spite of the fact that there are no Coast Guard Specifications for floatation in vessels 20' and over, ACB's unique chambered floatation cannot be compromised, even if the hull and a chamber are punctured. In case of a hull puncture, being swamped or even an out-drive seal failure, most boats will sink, ACB boats will not. ACB provides reliability, performance and lower life cycle costs than any other boat in its class. The ACB is the only vessel to pass the USCG upright and level flotation test for boats under 20’ without the use of foam. This same multiple chamber system is used in all ACBs. The test was conducted by the US Coast Guard, Office of Recreational Boating Product Assurance Division, Case Number 999V087N, on June 8, 2001. The boat was an ACB 1500, MSO Number SBK165VV4H900. The two largest aluminum chambers were punctured for the test and the ACB met all Federal Standards in accordance with 33 CFR 183.105 Subpart F-Flotation Requirements for Inboard Boats, Inboard/Out drive Boats, and Airboats. The stability and safety of all ACB boats is provided by placing the widest part of the hull at the waterline. No ACB boat has ever been capsized or sunk during hours of testing or during customer operations. Virtually Unsinkable: Severe Drop Test |
